Current:
- Finish figuring out thin hiking socks and a solution for rain
Next:
Rest:
- Reduce essential oils
- Take less, hopefully not more than 3
- Add a carrier oil, probably coconut
- Are the bottles heavy? Maybe replace with more lightweight bottles
- Reduce hygiene items
- Remove mirror
- Remove shaving tools
- Remove the nail clipper or the scissors, probably keep scissors because they’re more multi purpose and perhaps lighter
- Remove the wooden hair comb?
- Reduce toothpaste weight
- Do I need it at all?
- Baking soda?
- Tubeless toothpaste cube?
- Remove headphones, keep only earphones
- Finish using pack-drawing colors and remove / store at friends
- Consider to reduce duplicate items
- Top baselayer (I have 2)
- Top cool long sleeve (I have 4)
- Top cool short sleeve (I have 3)
- Shorts (I have 2 and neither is perfect for yoga)
- Underpants (I have 2, probably keeping both, just listing here just in case)
- Replace the hiking pants, I’m waiting for Arcteryx Lefroy to be in the store, it’s a very lightweight option without all the extras I don’t need much anyway (Outdoor Research Ferrosi was an option too but they don’t ship here)
- Figure out air pad, probably use it instead of CCF, maybe add groundsheet
- Make items from F. more lightweight without destroying them
- Take out the filling of the pillow, now it can easily fit into the bag
- Take out the filling of the hedgehog, maybe making it lightweight and also can fit into the bag if needed
- Do I need the shower bag? Can I take a shower by filling water in the Big Agnes dry bag (I know it leaks a bit, but the Sea To Summit bag probably leaks at least as much ughhh) and hanging it on a branch and just taking water out of it with my hands just like a tap shower, it’s the least painful way for me when it’s cold and I suppose it works fine when it’s hot too (it’s not like the Sea To Summit bag pours much water either, it’s still a minimal backpacking pocket shower, not a hotel)
- Make the yoga mat lighter, by trying the Voyager mat, and experiment with yoga directly on grass and sand etc., also can the yoga mat safely serve as a groudsheet under the air pad?
- Add tent (waiting for Aeon Li stock, don’t forget repair kit and pole)
- Consider to reduce rain clothes weight
- Frogg Toggs - what is that exactly?
- Zpacks rain clothes
- EE rain clothes (e.g. Visp jacket and mitts, check if has matching pants)
- Mac in a sac
- Consider to get better bottom thermals
- When legs get cold, try rain pants on and see if it helps
- Odlo: Upgrade to x-warm / switch to active / switch to confort
- Subzero long johns
- Lightweight thermal options from those small European UL companies?
- Get rid of towel cases? Use the loop/button to attach them to the bag’s straps
