There are two popular tools for managing SSL certificates. read about GnuTLS first to be sure it’s true:

Instead of using them directly, we’ll use a GUI application which makes things easier, by providing a convenient interface to them. You can learn these tools if you want, and use them instead.

We’ll use TinyCA. Install:

# apt-get install tinyca

As the user you chose to be responsible for the CA, open TinyCA (command tinyca2).
