Earlier today I was doing univer$ity h0mew0rk, when suddenly I noticed the Internet connection stopped working. I checked the ThinkPenguin libreCMC router through which this server connects to the Internet, and I found 2 things:
- The WLAN LED is flickering (happened in the past when connecting to a power socket shared with other devices)
- The power supply is hot
Even after the power supply cooled down, the router didn’t work. Looks like I need a new power supply - I hope that’s the cause.
So the services here were offline for a while. I doubt that anyone noticed, although the chance is lower than the chance anyone is reading thi, so it’s fine. Anyway, right now I’m using just the proprietary router provided by the ISP. Sadly. It’s always on, but normally as a relay for the libre router.
I’ll get a new one soon and get the libre router back on.
Is it possible the computer reads my mind? Everything was fine while I was doing things I like, and this morning with the boring h0mew0rk it decided to cause trouble.
Anyway… have a good day.
