When I was a kid (15-17, I think), I made some floor/ground tile graphics for use in a video game. I don’t remember which game, and I don’t remember whether they were eventually used, but here they are. Years after making them, I found them on my computer and decided to publish them.

These tiles are very easy to make, no talent is required at all. But if they’re good enough for you and/or you need some initial graphics for testing the code, they’ll save you the time required to make them.

I made then before I knew free software exists, using proprietary software and while running a proprietary operating system. That is why the format is BMP. If I used something else (GNU Paint, Pinta, GIMP, Inkscape) it would probably be different. But they can probably be converted to PNG or whatever free format you prefer.

(You can also get these files from the FTP server)
