Introduction
irc-fun-bot is a simple Haskell library for writing fun IRC bots. Both fun to use and fun to develop. This is a fun and interactive way to learn and experiment with Haskell, quickly seeing the results of the code you write. The project was started after an idea was brought up in
#freepost
channel: Write a bot collaboratively, the whole community together. Experiment, learn and laugh in the process. There may be other instances in other languages. I hope this one will provide a light introduction to Haskell and give people a fun chance to try it.
Note that this is just the library. The bot program itself is a separate program, [[/projects/FunBot]] (and more independent bot programs can be written, of course).

Freedom
irc-fun-bot is free software, and is committed to software freedom and to freedom in general. It is released to the public domain using the CC0 Public Domain Dedication. See [[/freedom]].
