Issue
The basic store API must match the needs of the users. In this case, application developers. I need to create an example program that uses it. The needs I’ll have while working on it will help me understand the requirements and improve the basic store API.
Process
Example program requirements:
- Something I actually need, interested in and will really use
- User friendly, simple, intuitive
- Small in scope, but not too small to be useful and complete
UI libraries:
- Terminal UI, e.g. ncurses based or similar
- GUI, e.g. GTK+ based
- More in [[!haskellwiki “Applications_and_libraries/GUI_libraries”]]
Ideas for the program:
- Remember it’s something I must need and have motivation and reason to use
- See [[/projects]] page, perhaps even start a quick ontology for this
- To-do list manager
- Film collection manager
- Semantic file manager
- Guitar chord viewer and editor
I’m not sure which idea is the best one, but I’ll try one which seems good and see later how it goes. It will be the to-do list manager. See [[!template id=tktref proj=task-management n=1]]
